When Hood College decided to construct the new Hood Athletic Center, TEI Electrical Solutions (TEI) was pleased to be selected as one of the strategic partners that would collaborate on this state-of-the-art athletic center project.  Working in conjunction with Warner Construction, another local Frederick Maryland company, TEI provided a variety of electrical contracting services for the project.

Project Details

The 41,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art multipurpose Hood Athletic Center, includes the 1,600-seat BB&T Arena, an observation deck, a two-level fitness center, cardio room, an athletic training room, locker rooms, an athletic hall of fame recognition display, concession area, hospitality, meeting room and office spaces.  TEI provided services for the demolition of all existing electrical systems, installation of an alternate lighting package, installation of required fire alarm systems, temporary lighting, power distribution and more.

Randy Horner, Project Manager at  TEI, noted, “The project was exciting because Hood College is one of the pillars of our community.  It’s great to be able to partner with other local businesses to provide services to an institution that educates and employs so many of the people in our community.  It was a win/win!”
