May 11, 2017\u00a0–\u00a0<\/b><\/em>In partnership with the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., TEI Electrical Solutions (TEI)<\/a> hosted students of the Baltimore Professional Development Program for a day of learning at their facility in Frederick, Maryland.\u00a0 This program provides participants the opportunity to develop leadership skills and get a better understanding of the construction industry.<\/p>\n

This innovative program, developed by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., (ABC) is a six-month-long program designed to provide a series of educational seminars, networking opportunities, mentoring and community service projects for developing a young professional and introducing them to the contracting industry.<\/p>\n

As part of the 2017 curriculum, students and their mentors visited TEI\u2019s Frederick, Maryland headquarters.\u00a0 TEI<\/a> provided a tour of the company\u2019s pre-fabrication shop where students learned about the overall pre-fabrication process.\u00a0 In addition, the students were able to view a variety of different projects that TEI is currently working on, in various stages.\u00a0 This comprehensive first-hand overview provided in-depth understanding of the client needs, the field process, the pre–<\/strong>fabrication process, and the installation\/delivery process.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure to be involved with this program and show young people some of the tremendous opportunities and innovations we have in this industry.\u00a0 There is a growing need for skilled workers, professionals, and business leaders.\u00a0 We are proud to be a part of that enlightening and educational process,\u201d stated Kevin Murphy, Project Manager at TEI.<\/p>\n

Students were also provided a complete tour of the TEI\u2019s CAD room and sister company, Kevson Theater\u2019s audio-visual service facilities.\u00a0 After the tour, the group finished the evening with networking and refreshments at Atta Boy Brewery in Frederick, Maryland.<\/p>\n
